Official Tatkal Reservation Rules & Guidelines
1. Timing Windows: AC Classes (1A, 2A, 3A, 3E, CC, EC) open daily at 10:00 AM IST. Non-AC Classes (SL, 2S, FC) open at 11:00 AM IST, exactly one day prior to the date of journey from the train originating station.
2. Passenger Limit: A maximum of 4 passengers can be booked per PNR under Tatkal reservation.
3. High-Speed Checkout: Keep your Master Passenger List pre-saved in your IRCTC profile. Use UPI AutoPay or IRCTC iMudra wallet for seamless instantaneous OTP-free payment settlement.
4. Refund Policy: As per Railway Board guidelines, no refund of fare is granted on confirmed Tatkal tickets upon cancellation, except under exceptional circumstances (e.g. train delayed by more than 3 hours or train cancellation).
